Prototype of Easy Chair by Poul Nørreklit
This is a unique piece. No other known examples of this model have been found to date, suggesting that it may be a prototype or a rare and previously unseen version of the iconic Easy Chair by Poul Nørreklit, one of the key figures in Danish modern design in the 1960s. The chair has a bold, sculptural silhouette, entirely covered in dark brown leather with a rich, uniform patina that attests to its age and authenticity. The generously proportioned seat rests on flat, elegant chrome-plated steel legs, creating a refined contrast between soft materials and industrial modernism. An architectural lounge chair, ideal for collectors or discerning interiors with a passion for rare vintage design. Chair dimensions: Height: 102 cm - Seat height: 39 cm - Width: 79 cm - Depth: 84 cm Condition: Good vintage condition with a beautiful patina on the leather. Signs of age and use include scuffs, localised scratches and slight discolouration. The chrome-plated steel base shows minor wear. Preserved in its original condition to maintain its authenticity and character.
